Employer Opportunities with Norfolk and Suffolk Skills Bootcamps
The Norfolk and Suffolk Skills Bootcamps are in full swing, with Wave 7 underway and over 30 Skills Bootcamps planned across the region, supporting approximately 400 participants across a wide range of sectors and skill areas.
With numerous participants already having completed their Bootcamp training, a number of graduates are now looking for their next step into employment or self-employment.
Could your organisation offer an opportunity?
We are keen to hear from employers who can help create meaningful routes from training into employment.
This could include:
- Offering interviews or current vacancies
- Providing work placements or other work opportunities
- Taking part in recruitment activity
- Meeting potential candidates
- Offering industry insight or helping participants understand opportunities within your sector
Recent graduates include participants who have completed training in areas such as:
- Events and Hospitality
- Bookkeeping and Finance
- IT and Digital, including Data Technician
- Healthcare Support Work
- Highways and Traffic Management Operations
There are also opportunities for employers to engage with our current Bootcamp cohorts, including supporting upcoming recruitment activity, contributing to interviews, providing industry insight or helping us identify opportunities for participants as they approach completion.
Current activity
Wave 7 is currently delivering training across a broad range of industries, with the largest areas of activity being Building and Construction, ICT Practitioners, and Accounting and Finance.
The pie chart below provides an overview of the full range of sectors currently represented across our Skills Bootcamp delivery.
This breadth of activity means there are opportunities for employers across a wide range of sectors to engage with both current learners and graduates, whether through recruitment, work placements, industry insight, interviews or other routes into employment.
We are particularly keen to work with employers who can help our participants put their newly developed skills into practice and support them to progress into sustainable employment or self-employment.
