Who we are
Norfolk and Suffolk LSIP (Local Skills Improvement Plan) is an employer-led initiative operating across both counties, supported nationally by Skills England. We are one of 38 LSIPs across the UK, with a specific mandate to understand and articulate the skills needs of businesses in our region — and to drive real, measurable change in training provision.
We are delivered by Norfolk Chambers of Commerce in partnership with Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, but LSIP is its own distinct brand, speaking independently to employers, training providers, and stakeholders.
Our story
Norfolk and Suffolk have strong foundations.
Ambitious employers. Innovative educators. Resilient communities. The opportunity is to bring this together and make it work as one system. That’s what the Local Skills Improvement Plan does.
It aligns what employers need with what the skills system delivers. Across sectors, from agri-food and engineering to health, digital and creative, it focuses effort where it will have the greatest impact.
This is practical, evidence-led work. Grounded in real insight, and designed to deliver measurable change.
